Once you log in to Microsoft 365, you will be taken to the home page.Navigate to the UTK homepage and select the “Office 365” link on the bottom.Log on to Microsoft 365 for UTK using your NetID:.You will need your NetID and password to log in. Microsoft 365 and its mobile apps are available for free due to your affiliation with the University of Tennessee. They have access to a private Notebook, Calendar, and OneDrive space, and can even create a Plan that allows them to break apart group projects and delegate tasks. In Groups, students can send each other messages/emails. You can create Groups (in People) that provide students with an alternative to Canvas’s Collaboration space.Tip: If you are worried about proper attribution of work, have students write their sections in different font colors so you can see at a glance who did what.Students can use Word Online or PowerPoint Online without being in same place at the same time. Collaborate on papers and presentations in and outside of class.By creating a form and sharing the link with students, you can easily collect responses that let you know what your students understood or had trouble with to let you modify your instruction. ![]() Use Forms as a formative assessment at the beginning or end of class.Then, paste your link and watch your calendars sync up! Just copy the link, select the Add Calendar option in Calendar in Microsoft 365, and then select the From the Internet option. ![]() If you are using Canvas’ Calendar function to share assignment due dates, you (and your students) can sync that Calendar through the Calendar Feed option.They can also collaborative in the Collaboration space.
